The Content Curation Experiment Part -1 What is Content Curation

what is content curation

what is content curationContent curation is getting big, and it’s going to get bigger. Last week one of the WSO’s OTD (warrior special offer of the day) was about content curation, which means within the next month there will be about 10 more products about it.

However the good news is that most people won’t get off their fat asses and bother with content curation because it takes work! It takes time to set things up and then you need to work on a daily basis for a few months then hopefully your blog will start to get noticed and gain some traction.

Sounds a bit like hard work doesn’t it, it is, but it can also be very very very profitable once you do gain some traction. How would $10,000 a day grab you?

Ok you aren’t going to make that anytime soon but figures like that are not unknown. Maybe If i told you that if you build your curation site correctly from the start then you won’t have to worry about google, SEO or all the sleepless nights that can come with those two ugly sisters.

I first got an inkling of the power of content a few months back when it was raised in a topic in WPgoldmine (Get a 7day trial for $1, you won’t be disappointed!) Many of the more knowledgable members pitched in and I began to see the possibilities.

I’ve now spent what feels like 8 hours a day for the past month(probably more like 2 or 3 hours a day) absorbing everything I can about content curation. I listened to Webinar’s and podcasts , I’ve bought products, I’ve chatted to experts, I’ve bought software and I’ve studied 7 or 8 different curation models to see which I feel has the most potential.

I then distilled all that information down to a simple easily (if only!) implemented plan

What I intend to do now is to test everything i’ve learned. I am going to create 2 curated blogs and see if over the next few months we can build them into something I can either sell for a 5 figure sum each or get them generating $1000 a month each.

I will be conducting this experiment in a few different ways. I’ll post updates and tips here on the blog but within WPgoldmine i’ll post in-depth video reports showing the exact steps I take. This is only fair to the current members who have had a huge input into curation via the various threads.

In the meantime here is a short introduction to content curation with a few examples of sites.

I think this is a response to people being sick of being slapped by Google. It’s a way of creating an income that’s not dependent upon Google’s ever-changing algo.

I’ve been hearing a lot about content curation, but couldn’t really understand what it was.

Thank you, your explanation was good but the examples helped to make it crystal clear.

Many thanks
