Article Marketing Experiment – Day 2

By Mark / September 10, 2007

Today I spent just over 18 minutes writing 1 article for submission. I then spent a further 29 minutes adding some secret sauce to it and preparing it for submission using the tool I selected.

That was a total of 47 minutes. At 3 PM central european time the article was distributed. so all there is to do now is to site back and wait and to keep checking the logs and the search engines to see if it’s been indexed yet.

I am really Interested in seeing if your experiment works. I spent a long time doing article marketing and didn’t have much luck with it so i stopped. I might just start again if this works for you.

Hi Mark,

I’ve been doing article marketing on a small scale for quite some time and it does bring in a fair bit of traffic to my sites. One thing I noticed is that you said you distributed an article – do you mean the same article to lots of different directories?

It’s just that lately, I’ve found that some of the top article sites like eZine Articles won’t accept duplicate content and the consensus these days seems to be that each article has to be unique. I’ve only ever submitted one article at a time to any directory, and articles I put up on my sites are also unique as the SE’s (especially Google) are getting very tight on duplication.

Just my observations! Nice blog, by the way 🙂

Terry,

I agree that every submitted article needs to be unique…and thats part of the secret sauce I mentioned. The interesting thing about this test is that the article isn’t “spun” It’s 100% human written….

All will be revealed 🙂

That’s what I hoped you’d say, Mark.

Brilliant!

And yes, human written articles are really the only way to go – no matter how good the software, you can spot a machined article a mile off and I reckon that the SE’s can too!
