Times change and if you fail to change with them then you'll be left behind. (If you are a subscriber you'll get a link to the .pdf version , If not you can buy it on amazon). One of the sections talks about how people are afraid to actually try things. What puzzles me is when do people start to get scared of failure? In the book I tell a story about the first …and only airplane I ever built. It must have taken … [Read more...]

How To Comment – Without looking Like a Spammer

Screen Shot 2012-02-29 at 11.54.02 AM

I decided to write this post due to the number of spam comments I am getting. It never ceases to amaze me how people will spend time and money trying to get links to their site by adding the keyword they are targeting in the name box when the make a comment. It doesn't work! (well not much any way!) What you need is good quality blogs from sites with traffic and regular posts, this accomplishes 3 things.   1. You get a link back to your site 2. You get traffic from your Lionk 3. The blog owner gets Unique content added via the conthen. It's the perfect symbiotic … [Read more...]

Monday Tip – Give Your Readers What They Want

survey

One of the biggest mistakes we can make as online marketers is to assume we know what our audience want. When I take time to analyse any of my projects that have failed or not been as successful as expected,  time after time I'll find that the reason was because what I produced wasn't wanted or needed. You can produce the best product or blog post in the world but if there isn't a need for it then you've wasted your time. My friend Andre Chaperon is currently testing a sales funnel by driving traffic to it from various paid sources. He is constantly working at … [Read more...]

Honesty, Transparency and Accountability – The Way Forward?

Leadership

I have just returned from a very hard round of golf at a difficult golf course after only 2 hours sleep last night, I am exhausted and all I want to do is have a long hot bath crash out. However I have just read a blog post by Mike Long who is someone who I have known online for a long time, and I really want to draw attention to the post and encourage you to read it. Mike has been very successful online and when I started I really looked up to him and what he was doing.  He was at the forefront of the PLR article business and has written the best book about article marketing … [Read more...]

How To Clean Up Your Aweber Email List and Save Money

aweber tutorial

I think I  mentioned in a previous post that I hadn't noticed that my Aweber account had gone up from $59 per month to $149. The increase was caused by 2 things getting more subscribers ...good!  having 400 or so people on the list who had unsubscribed... Bad! Aweber continue to charge you for unsubscribed list members until you physically remove them. Over the next week or so my aim is to get my list from the current figure of around 7000  (I had a major cull over christmas) to around 4000. I know it sounds drastic but to me it makes perfect sense. I want to talk to subscribers … [Read more...]

Why You Need To Build a List – List Building 101

listbuilding 101

If there's one thing that divides people more than anything else in internet marketing it's list building. As a marketer you either hate the thought of list building or you love it. As a consumer you either welcome being on lists or you do everything to avoid being on a list. Either way the root cause is the same... perception. People think that email lists are created for one reason and one reason only to sell products. With this slight generalization I am referring to 90% of marketers and probably nearer 100% of consumers. But that perception is wrong, an email list is a way … [Read more...]
